Before coming to IFM, Alyssa spent eight years as an ICU nurse. Now at IFM, she gets to do what she really wants to do–help people who want to be there. Her own health journey taught her the importance of honoring patient choices, something not often encountered in medicine. “IFM aligns with my principles of health. My role as a nurse is to accept people where they’re at and IFM blends together with that seamlessly.” It also provides a place for her to exercise her natural gift for building trusting relationships. She wants to get to know her patients and has discovered that the culture at IFM makes that possible. In the end, IFM has brought her to the place she’s been wanting to be, where she can help build a community of care. “I’m happy,” she says. “It’s great.”
