Adults include both men and women ages 18-65 It is not only important to see your doctor for a yearly physical to review your overall health and wellbeing, but in particular, at ages 18, 21, 24, 25, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 59 to screen for your disease risk related to the following conditions.
We believe that preventative care from a young age leads you to a path of health and happiness for the duration of your life. Don’t skip your yearly visit just because you think nothing is wrong! That yearly visit allows you to discuss how well you are with your provider and discuss any concerns or lifestyle changes you would like to address in the upcoming year. Think about being able to address those random days where you’re tired or don’t sleep well when you’re in your 20s and 30s, instead of at age 50 when you can’t sleep at all and are dependent on prescription sleep aids. Women need additional screenings including:
Regular screenings of these common preventable health care conditions keep you well and healthy and reduce your risk of a larger and more serious health condition later in life.
