Integrative Family Medicine of Iowa now offers rapid antigen testing, rapid antibody, and molecular (PCR) testing for the detection of SARS-CoV-2. If you are interested in obtaining a test you may call the office at 515-218-1399 or schedule an appointment online below. We require covid testing patients to wear a mask. The cost for the rapid antigen test is $89, the cost of the antibody test is $99, and the cost of the molecular test is a $29 collection fee while the remainder of the cost will be billed to your insurance by Quest (up to $100 if not covered by insurance). If you are symptomatic and need to see a provider, the cost of the urgent care visit is $79 in addition to testing.
Rapid antigen testing offers results in 3-7 minutes. Antibody testing offers results in 5-10 minutes. Molecular testing takes 3-5 business days for results, this is currently the industry standard.
We will give you a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Most insurance companies have recently changed their policies to cover the cost of one covid test (regardless of type) and will not continue to reimburse for multiple tests. This is why we keep our prices low and transparent for you as the patient and charge the cost upfront.

Please note the following regarding covid testing:
More information is available via the CDC or Iowa Dept of Public Health at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/quarantine.html.
- A patient is considered 'exposed' if you have been in contact with a confirmed Covid positive person in the last 10 days, for more than 30 minutes, less than 6 feet apart, and UNmasked.
- If you have been exposed, it may take you up to 10 days to exhibit symptoms. You should isolate during this time.
- If you begin to exhibit symptoms after a known exposure, you must now quarantine for 10 days from the onset of symptoms.
- Data shows that the most consistent and reliable results happen when the patient has been exposed and has had symptoms for at least 3 days.
- A positive result is presumed positive and the patient should self isolate per CDC and IDPH recommendations.
- A negative result does not negate the need for self-isolation if the patient has been exposed and/or has symptoms.
- If the patient develops symptoms in the 10 day period after exposure and has previously tested negative, the patient should be retested.
- If the patient has had exposure (per CDC guidelines), the patient should self isolate for the recommended amount of time.
- All results are reported to Iowa Department of Public Health, per public health requirements.
